Rita Ora has deleted years worth of Instagram photographs amid the drama surrounding her breach of lockdown.
The Shine A Light hit-maker, has erased all trace of her birthday shenanigans – including every single post before and after she was taken into mandatory 14-day quarantine by armed police after arriving in Australia.
The singer has travelled Down Under ahead of her stint as a judge on the Australian version of The Voice and has to follow the country’s guidance on arrivals from abroad.
Rita entered quarantine after landing in Sydney following her flight in from the UK. Rita will not be allowed to leave her hotel room for the full 14-day quarantine period, unless she is required to go outside the room to take her Covid tests.
And it seems with the new job down under, Rita has now decided to start afresh on social media
The Kosovo-born singer deleted photographs as far back as 2012, leaving only one snap remaining on her Instagram feed.
On Thursday, Rita posted a promotional shot of her brand-new track Bang featuring DJ David Guetta.
The move comes after it was revealed that the venue where she held her 30th has had its license suspended for six weeks.
Metropolitan Police called for an investigation into Notting Hill’s Casa Cruz restaurant where Rita flouted rules last year by celebrating with friends during the second national lockdown.
The extravagant party was described as one of the most ‘egregious and notorious’ breaches by officers at a Kensington and Chelsea Council licensing sub-committee hearing last week.
Previously, the singer apologised to her fans after breaching lockdown on her birthday.
Addressing her actions, Rita said it was ‘spur of the moment.’
She said: “I feel particularly embarrassed knowing first-hand how hard people have worked to combat this terrible illness and being fully aware of the sacrifices that people and businesses have made to help keep us all safe.
Even though this won’t make it right, I want to sincerely apologise.”
Rita offered to pay a £10,000 fine for hosting the party.
