Rag'n'Bone Man says police 'tried to break up party' after neighbour's mistake

Rag’n’Bone Man has claimed police turned up at his home over the weekend to ‘break up a party’ which actually didn’t exist.

The 36-year-old singer was celebrating his birthday with his housemate but a neighbour mistakenly thought a party was going on and shopped him to the police.

With large social gatherings banned due to the UK’s third national lockdown, the neighbour believed that there was a load of people celebrating with the singer.

It turned out that instead of finding a group of people flaunting government guidelines, they found Rag’n’Bone Man and his housemate having a karaoke session.

As the singing had gone into the night, this was the reason why the neighbours assumed it was party time at Rag’n’Bone Man’s home.

After the police had left without concern for what was happening, the singer took to Twitter to vent his anger in a since-deleted tweet.

He wrote: “Some c*** chops tried to grass me up for having a birthday party last night.

“The old bill came in the house to find me and my housemate Chris doing a karaoke duet of ‘Waiting for a star to fall'”.

One fan replied to the singer, writing: “Considering the song you were trying to sing both of you were probably gargling on each others mic when the cops entered!!”

Rag’n’Bone Man then replied: ‘Who doesn’t like that song?’

Another follower added on Twitter: “Happy birthday, some people just like to cause trouble, the same thing has happened to me twice.”

A third cheekily added: ‘Bet Chris carried you a bit.’

The BRIT Award winning singer jokingly replied: “Fully.”
