Katie Price could be set to move in with her boyfriend Carl Woods full time.
While her West Sussex home – nicknamed the Mucky Mansion – was being renovated, the former glamour model had been splitting her time between a rented house in Surrey and Carl’s home in Essex.
And now that her temporary home has been sold for £1.2m, Katie will be looking for a more permanent fixture once her lease runs out.
The mum-of-five, 42, has previously said that she’ll never move back to her former home as it’s filled with too many bad memories.
The home ended up causing Katie nothing but misery after it was targeted by burglars in a string of break-ins.
She told the Mirror last year that she was leaving it behind to move in with Carl.
She said: “I’ve still got the house here with the kids for the minute, but we’re looking for somewhere. I’ve moved in with him, the kids will stay at his, but his house is the show home, it’s immaculate, but mine is more like the Jungle Book.”
She laughed: “Mine’s the Jungle Book where the kids can be as feral as they like but his is tidy, immaculate – you would spot a bit of dust if it was there.”
Katie said that work at her £2m home had ceased following the break-ins.
She said: “The doctors from The Priory have said that my house, mentally, is a place I can’t ever go back to because there’s too many memories.
“Even just walking up the driveway drives me mad, and when I’m in I want to get out of there. I can’t explain it in my head and it’s just so sad what’s happened to my house.
“It’s sad because it could be such an amazing place, but no I’m done it with. I own that house but it just literally sits there until mentally I’m ready to do something with it. It’s weird to know that I still own that big house, it just sits there, I sometimes forget that I’ve even got it.”
Now that her rented home is sold, Katie could be preparing to finally make the move with Carl.
She admitted it had begun to fall into disrepair before is was sold, according to reports in The Sun.
Katie has previously revealed that her son Harvey had punched holes in the walls of the six-bedroom home that she’d been renting for £4,250 a month.
The Mirror also previously reported that Katie’s new neighbours were complaining about the skip in her garden and the piles of rubbish left strewn outside, as well as the constant barking of her dog Blade.
