Kate Lawler has given birth to beautiful baby girl.
The radio personality and Celebrity Big Brother star, 40, welcomed her first child with fiancé Martin, who she affectionately named Boj throughout her pregnancy.
Overjoyed first-time parents Kate and Martin took to social media to share their baby joy after welcoming their precious bundle of joy.
Announcing the arrival of their little one, Martin took to his Instagram Story to write: “Hi everyone, sorry for the radio silence, it’s been a long day.
“Nuchky is fine, fit and healthy, as is Kate. We had a bit of complication but Nuchky is ok and on the quick mend and will be with us tomorrow, all being good.”
He added: “Nuchky is gorgeous and has lots of hair which make me think Kate definitely has a hairy lover out there.”
The couple welcomed their baby girl after deciding to start trying when the coronavirus pandemic disrupted their wedding plans.
“The wedding got cancelled and I wasn’t thinking about a baby at all,” she previously told Hello magazine .
“But when we rebooked it for the following year, a few of our friends and family said we could have a baby between now and then. I laughed.
“But then I turned 40 in May and suddenly I felt grown up and like I was ready for something and I didn’t know what it was.”
She added: “We realised we would have to start trying straight away to avoid having a newborn at the wedding. So we did. We gave it one shot. And it happened!”
Big Brother’s 2002 winner said she had “never felt more ready” to have a baby than now as she shared her happy news.
But poor Kate found herself in distress just weeks from her due date as the pandemic threatened yet more of her plans.
Just six weeks from her baby girl’s due date, Kate was in floods of tears after learning she may have to give birth alone.
Kate was warned that a rise in Covid cases means Martin may be banned from being in the hospital with her when the time comes.
Struggling to fight back the tears, she told her Instagram followers: “I might have to go it alone, so first of all my heart goes out to any woman who’s had to give birth without her partner there.
“As someone who has a huge fear of childbirth, the idea of giving birth to my baby alone without the person I love there holding my hand is just terrifying.
“It’s just not for me, it’s not what I want so of course I’m upset but there’s nothing we can do.”
