Emmerdale fans rejoice as Mandy takes down Paul's kidnappers before major twist

Emmerdale aired tense scenes as Paul Ashdale’s life remained on the line – or so his loved ones were led to believe.

Mandy Dingle was rushing around trying to raise the ransom money, after threats from those holding her partner Paul hostage.

They wanted the money to pay off Paul’s debts, demanding £4,000 by Wednesday afternoon.

Mandy got as much money as she could, before heading off to meet with the culprits hoping to save her man from danger.

But there was a twist when Mandy didn’t go alone, with others including son Vinny and cousin Sam Dingle in tow.

Emmerdale fans were unsure how to react when Mandy Dingle threatened the men who had kidnapped her partner Paul

Not only that but Mandy turned on the men wielding a bat, giving them the small amount of cash raised and telling them they would get no more.

Armed with weapons, Mandy told them to release Paul or face the consequences – revealing the whole Dingle clan would be after them.

She wasn’t messing around, as she threatened the abductors and refused to stand down until she got what she wanted.

Mandy demanded the release of Paul

Viewers were thrilled as Mandy took charge – something Paul was screaming at her not to do.

Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: “Go Mandy, going full on Dingle!”

Another agreed: “Yes Mandy that’s what I like to see.”

Mandy was fearing for her partner’s life

A third added: “Don’t mess with the iconic Mandy Dingle.”

This was echoed by another viewer who said: “Lol mandy was absolutely brilliant lol Paul’s face says it all that his little plan well didn’t go to plan.”

Later in the episode, it soon became clear that Paul had staged the kidnap with the man he owed money too.

Paul appeared to be exposed in the episode

He was warned to get the money to him, or next time he would harm him for real.

Viewers were sickened by the twist, furious that Paul would put his loved ones in danger and try and steal their money.

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
