Britney Spears ‘ close friend claimed the star was “100% confident she will get control of her life”.
The Circus hitmaker, 39, was placed under a conservatorship held by her father Jamie Spears since 2008 after her breakdown.
Conservatorship means the songstress doesn’t control over her own personal, financial and business affairs.
Now Britney’s close friend and former make-up artist Billy Brasfield, AKA Billy B, has spoken out to say the singer “100% believes she will get control back”.
Billy told The Sun : “She is 100 percent optimistic and extremely capable and smart – and has a strategy and people need to respect that.
“There are a lot of people thinking they know what’s best for Britney but she is a grown woman who is very capable.
“I 100 percent believe, as does she, that she will get control back.”
The Mirror has reached out to Britney Spears’ representatives for further comment.
Billy has remained close with Britney and previously worked as her make-up artist.
He has made a name for himself in the showbiz world as a talented make-up artist.
New documentary Framing Britney Spears tells the singer’s harrowing story.
The documentary, which was produced by the New York Times, shines a light on the singer’s mental health battle and controversial conservatorship put in place.
Recently, her dad Jamie lost a bid to retain the power to delegate investment powers for the estate at a hearing in Los Angeles.
At the request of Britney, who has tried to have her father removed from his role, private wealth management firm the Bessemer Trust was made the co-conservator in November.
Last year a court was told her estate is now worth $60 million (£43 million).
