Leigh-Anne Pinnock has set her heart on making more movies.
The Little Mix pop princess, 29, admitted she had the “bug” for filming after starring in her first ever comedy movie Boxing Day.
Her move into movies comes as Jesy Nelson quit Little Mix because of “private health reasons” – leaving Leigh-Anne, Perrie Edwards and Jade Thirlwall as a three-piece.
But Leigh-Anne welcomed the change as she gushed it had been a “dream from start to finish”, working alongside the most “incredible cast”.
She said: “And that’s a wrap. My first ever film and hopefully not my last! I think I’ve got the bug now.
“This has been a dream from start to finish, with the most incredible cast and team.”
The pop star shared her high praise for the director Aml Ameen for bringing his “talent” to the film.
She said: “Thank you for gracing our film with your talent and presence.
“I cannot wait for the world to see the new canvas you’ve painted on… a true artist.”
Leigh-Anne had plenty of experience shooting music videos.
However, Boxing Day marked her first ever movie milestone.
It tells the story of a British author (Ameen) who returns to London for Xmas to introduce his American fiancée (Aja Naomi King) to his wild British-Caribbean family.
Can their relationship survive after the author’s past comes to light?
Director Ameen opened up about bringing Black British Culture to the world in his directorial debut.
He said: “It is such an honor to be teaming up with Warner Bros.
“Pictures, Film4 and BFI to bring Black British Culture to the world in this universal holiday rom-com.
“It’s long been a dream of mine to capture films that reflect the wonderfully multi-cultural city that raised me while sharing stories from the diary of my life.”
Boxing Day has now started production.
