Justin Bieber has swiftly responded to rumours he will become a minister at Hillsong Church.
The pop sensation, 26, was forced to deny articles that claimed an anonymous source alleged that he “wants to be a full-fledged minister next year” alongside making music.
Justin labelled it “fake news” on his Instagram Story.
Justin shared a snapshot, writing: “I’m not studying to be a minister or anything even close to that. Have no desire for that this is fake news.”
Hailey Bieber’s husband clarified his place of worship, adding: “And btw Hillsong is not my church… For clarity I am part of Churchome.
“Church is not a place. We are the church. We don’t need a building to connect with god. God is with us wherever we are.”
The singer’s wedding to Hailey was officiated by Churchome’s Judah Smith, so it holds a special place in his heart.
Justin has previously thanked Hillsong for pulling him out of his most “dark” times.
He had his own celebrity pastor Carl Lentz, who baptised the pop star and has been a spiritual mentor to Justin over the years.
Carl lost his position as pastor – as he admitted to having an affair, and is currently fixing things with his family – which became a hard time for Justin.
Speaking in his Next Chapter documentary, the singer said: “”It was so consistent; the pain was so consistent. I was just suffering, so, I’m just like, ‘Man, I would rather not feel this than feel this.'”

Thankfully, the star managed to turn his thinking around and find light in the darkness.
And he also encouraged any of his fans who are feeling suicidal to speak to someone.
He concluded: “I feel so just at peace for the first time in my life… I just would encourage people, like, ‘Hey, if you’re feeling lonely, talk about it. Say it out loud!’ There’s a freedom in that. I could have avoided a lot of pain.”
