Gemma Collins vows to become a humanitarian to emulate Sir David Attenborough

The GC turned the big 40 today – and vows to become a “humanitarian” and educate the next generation in world affairs.

Reality star Gemma Collins is taking her responsibilities seriously after she discovered her BBC podcast is most listened by the broadcaster’s much coveted demographic of 16-28-year-olds.

Now, she wants to emulate Sir David Attenborough and help encourage young people in the right direction.

“If these youngsters are looking at me, I need to do the right thing by them and spread the right word and the right message,” she says.

“There’s more to life than a naked Instagram selfie.”

Gemma has been inspired by veteran broadcaster Sir David Attenborough

Gemma – a former self-confessed “diva” – says material items no longer “fulfil” her.

“I don’t need any more designer handbags or shoes,” she says. “I’ve just really grown as a person.

Gemma Collins wants to turn her attention to humanitarianism

“I think you get to a certain stage in your life, you’ve earned the money. In the end, you need to look a bit deeper.”

She plans to turn her attention to “working as a humanitarian” and touring Africa and India, as well as promoting animal welfare and the conservation of endangered species.

Gemma just turned 40

To celebrate her 40th yesterday, on/off boyfriend James “Arg” Argent sent her a wall of pink balloons.

And though she could count parcels from Versace, Chanel and Gucci among her gifts, an emotional Gemma said “the biggest gift of all” was seeing her dad Alan “getting stronger daily” as he recovers from Covid-19, which had previously seen the 73-year-old hospitalised.

There really is no better present.
