David Bowie’s widow Iman has celebrated her late husband as today would have been his 74th birthday.
The supermodel, 65, who married the music icon in Switzerland in 1992, took to social media on Friday evening to share how she thinks of her late husband, who died in 2016 every day, and reflected on her love for him.
One post she shared was a photo of a quote, that read: “If I had a flower for every time I thought of you… I could walk through my garden forever.”
The catwalk queen wrote alongside the offering: “#imandaily Jan 8th #BowieForever.”
Shortly after she uploaded another post that was a black and white photo, snapped by French photographer Hedi Slimane, of the Space Oddity hitmaker’s silhouette as he sang on stage.
Iman captioned the second post: “January 8th @hedislimane#BowieForever.”
Bowie died on January 10 2016, aged 69 after a battle with liver cancer.
Just this month, Iman told Harper’s Bazaar how the singer was the only man for her.
She told the publication: “n a rare interview, the mum-of-one said: “David is in our hearts and minds on a daily basis, for all of us.
“You know, this was my true love. My daughter once asked me if I would ever marry again and I said, ‘never.’”
Iman said of their married life: “It could not have been more regular. It was a really everyday marriage.
“He was a very funny, warm gentleman. Everyone talks about him being futuristic, but he was not, he liked more than anything to wear a three-piece suit. It was a beautiful, ordinary life and that was what was great about it.
“We could live in New York, pick up our daughter from school, walk everywhere. I wish we had had more years.”
