Vivek Oberoi spoke to an entertainment daily about Saathiya completing 18 years. As the actor spoke about the movie, the interviewer asked him who he would pick from Bollywood for the remake of the film.
Vivek Oberoi took Kartik Aaryan and Alia Bhatt’s name. “There are so many lovely and talented young actors, but if I were to cast ‘Saathiya’ today, I would cast Kartik and Alia, a fresh pair like Rani and me were an interesting change for both actors in terms of performance,” said the actor in the interview. Now wouldn’t that make for a sweet pairing on the big screen, both the talented actors are surely perfect for this matured-romcom that strikes the right chord.
Saathiya was a blockbuster and had bagged Rani Mukerji her first Filmfare Best Actress (Critics) award for her role. Since it was Vivek Oberoi’s debut year, he too had won the Filmfare Award for Best Debut- Male (for his performance in Saathiya and in Company).
Kartik Aaryan and Alia Bhatt have never shared screen space together but if they do, these two young superstars will make a refreshing pair in tinsel town and will be worth a watch.
