Piers Morgan has opened old wounds by reliving physical fights he has had with Jeremy Clarkson while sitting opposite the host on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?
The 55-year-old Good Morning Britain host was a contestant on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? on Saturday night.
Sitting opposite 60-year-old show host Jeremy, Piers explained that he was anxious to utilise the “Ask The Host” lifeline due to bad blood between the two.
And, indeed, there was spilled blood between the highly opinionated pair as they have physically attacked each other in the past – and have the scars to prove it.
The pair famously brawled at a 2004 awards show, and also reportedly turned on each other during a 2003 flight.
Getting stumped on a Millionaire question, Piers explained why he was anxious to turn to Jez for help as he had been cut by him in the past.
He said: “I can think of a million reasons why I shouldn’t trust you. Including this scar on my forehead.
“And there’s your broken finger… from when he struck me.”
Opting to ask for help on a question, Piers added: ”I’m going to say the words I never thought I’d say… I trust you. I believe you. At least this way if I’m wrong, it’s your fault.”
During the scenes, Piers pointed to the scar on his forehead and Jeremy held his deformed finger up to the cameras.
The lads are said to have patched up their past disputes back in 2014 – by spending six hours chatting over drinks.
Instead of punches, the pair threw cheeky insults at each other during their time on the ITV quiz – with Jeremy branding Piers a “simply awful human”.
Jeremy once famously thumped a colleague on Top Gear – costing him his job on the show back in 2015.
