I’m A Celebrity star Vernon Kay has admitted he broke down in tears in camp as a result of the expertise left him emotionally and bodily “drained”.
The telly star, 46, says he missed his spouse Tess Daly and their two daughters and was left exhausted and hungry by the meagre rations and gruelling challenges.
He admitted he wasn’t scared to let his emotions out throughout his time on set as he “felt comfortable” together with his co-stars.
According to the Daily Star Sunday, he stated: “I still cry at Forrest Gump, so I expected to cry while I was on I’m A Celebrity. I even cried in the interview I did at the start of the series.
“And whenever you’re in there, you’re emotionally drained since you are lacking your loved ones. I felt comfy with that group of people who I might cry. I didn’t take into consideration making an attempt to cease myself from getting emotional.

“You are physically drained, too. We were eating nothing but rice and beans most of the time. I lost two-and-a-half stone – that’s weight I didn’t really have to lose.”
He lastly obtained dwelling yesterday, however was unable to reunite with Tess as she was busy filming Strictly Come Dancing.
Vernon he had to watch her on the show earlier than they have been lastly reunited at midnight.

The telly star shared an image of Tess on his TV display screen whereas he watched from the couch and advised her to “hurry home!”
He wrote: “Hurry dwelling @tessdaly!! @bbcstrictly what a present, @craigrevel you’re welcome too!!
“(So good to be mud and smoke free! No Rice and Beans!!!!).”

Vernon hadn’t seen his spouse and daughters since October, when he headed to Wales to isolate earlier than his three-week stint in the fort.
Speaking earlier than he obtained dwelling, Vernon admitted he must wait till the early hours of Sunday morning to meet up with his spouse.
He advised The Sun : “We’re going to be reunited after Strictly. I’ll get home and see the girls first, Tess will get back about midnight.”
Vernon went on to disclose he was happy his spouse and two daughters have been “proud” of him for making it to the I’m A Celebrity last.
