Eighteen days after treating COVID-19 within the hospital's medical care unit, Broadway actor Nick Coldero has been asked to amputate his right leg to treat complications caused by the highly contagious virus.
According to a report, Cordaro's wife Amanda Clotts had
revealed the news of being controversial on Saturday.
According to the outlet, the actor was administered with
Thinner for a clot in his leg, but when internal bleeding occurred in his
intestine, treatment became problematic.
"He took on a blood thinner to clot and unfortunately
the blood thinner was causing another issues - vital sign and a few internal
bleeding in his intestines," Clott said.
"We took them off to thin the blood, but again there
was some clotting within the right leg. Therefore, the proper leg would become
controversial today," he said.
