Eminent singer Lata Mangeshkar said on Tuesday that she
would contribute Rs 25 lakh to the Maharashtra Chief Minister Relief Fund to
affect the coronavirus crisis.
Veteran singers have joined a growing list of names from the
show business to support the country within the fight against COVID-19.
Earlier, singer Adnan Sami on Monday announced his support
and contribution to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund, without disclosing the
quantity.
Other celebrities who have taken part in supporting the
fight are Akshay Kumar, Kapil Sharma, Shilpa Shetty, Rajkumar Rao, and Varun
Dhawan.
Vicky Kaushal, Alia Bhatt, and Sara Ali Khan also recently
announced their support to help within the fight against COVID-19.
The country is under a 21-day lockdown to stop the spread of
coronavirus, which has claimed 32 lives and infected a minimum of 1251 people.
